Gemelos XXII

My sons booked this accommodation in advance and paid the security deposit. They explicitly informed the host they would arrive between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM. The host promised to email a key box code for self-check-in, but the email never arrived. After landing at Alicante airport, my sons traveled to Benidorm, only to find themselves completely locked out and stranded outside the accommodation in the middle of the night. They repeatedly called the "24-hour emergency number." When an agent finally answered, she was incredibly rude, claimed there was no booking, and hung up on them multiple times when they tried to provide reservation details. From the UK, I spent three hours (3:00 AM to 6:00 AM) on a live chat with Booking.com trying to help them, but the platform could not reach the host either. Instead of resolving the issue, the host simply cancelled the booking with no reason given. They left my sons vulnerable and alone in a foreign country. They finally found an alternative hotel room at 4:00 PM—15 hours after landing. Appalling, dangerous service. Avoid this host at all costs.

Short break with a group of mates, concerned after reading reviews, but everything was "spot on". Rooms was clean and comfortable, we had a double room with twin beds in both. Also had two bathrooms, one with a walk in shower the other had a bath and shower which was handy and a total surprise, only downside the poor water pressure. Location about 15 minutes walk to the beach and all the main bars, but there are several bars nearby along with eating places. Room wasn't cleaned or towels changed the 4 days we were there, and on the last day you have to strip the beds and place the linen in the hallway for the cleaners, along with your towels, and empty the bin yourself, and take the rubbish to the bins on the main road. Reception only opens from 10am until 4pm if you need to see them, if you arrive outside these hours you need to inform them prior to your arrival. Who you book it with should tell you how. Overall extremely please and even my mates said if we come again we'd defiantly stay here.

Our booking was Sciroco Gemelos 22, booked through Booking.com. The apartment was spacious, clean, and very well equipped, making it ideal for a comfortable self-catering stay. The balcony was a real highlight—generously sized and enclosed, creating a relaxing seating area with lovely views over the well-maintained gardens and pool area. The complex itself was excellent, with three pools including a lagoon-style pool, a main pool, and a separate children’s pool. Inside, the bedroom was a good size with ample storage, a safe available for a small fee, and its own air conditioning unit. The bathroom was modern and clean, featuring a walk-in shower. The kitchen had everything you could need, including a full cooker, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and a full-size fridge freezer. The living area was equally comfortable, with a dining table and chairs, a large sofa, TV, and air conditioning. The location was also very convenient, with both front and rear access to the property, making it easy to get around. There are plenty of nearby bars, restaurants, and a local supermarket within walking distance. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay and excellent value for money.
