Marconfort Flamingo Playa Aparthotel

We stayed here for 4 nights in premium suite on the 11th floor. The room was spacious and well equipped, full length mirror, sockets at the side of the bed, fridge, hairdryer, toiletries. On arrival the floor of the room was very dirty with large drips which had dried, skirting boards are also very dirty. We needed to wear flip flops. The beds were very comfortable. There was a balcony with a table and chairs and 2 sunbeds. Our balcony door did not lock, we reported it immediately to a chap in reception who said someone would fix it but this never happened. We were on the 11th floor so not a huge worry but doors should be locked! The hotel is a 10/15 min walk to new or old town. The pools are ok, but hugely lacking in parasols, this is putting people off. There is a jacuzzi, we went in and ended up with a think green residue on our skin and costumes. AI drinks were ok, Cruzcampo is the beer on tap, cocktails are just alcohol, syrup and soda. You can have crisps and nuts at 4pm but not a minute before. There are hot drink machines dotted around the hotel. The AI food wasn’t great, the first evening we both had chicken paella and it was full of bone, very off putting. There is the usual salad etc but it wasn’t what we have experienced in other 4 star hotels. We went to tapas alley and some other nice restaurants for the other 3 nights. Overall it is ok and whilst quantitively it maybe 4 star, quality is questionable.

Lovely hotel, good drinks selection, amazing food, and not noisy on a night time. About 10/15 minutes walk from the strip and beach. The hotel and rooms were very clean and tidy, the rooms were big however there is no door or curtain between the two bedroom doors and main room for privacy which is the only thing I would change. The food at this hotel has to be the best all inclusive buffet I've been to, everything seasoned and cooked properly, no hard food, everything perfect, they also serve bacon and eggs all day on the snack bar which I loved. The staff are amazing, funny, friendly and super hard working, we got to know Tony, Georgina and another lady that worked around the pool/bar, and Sandra who did the entertainment every day and night. We also loved the fancy chairs around the hotel. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Exceeded My Expectations – Already Booked to Return! This was my first ever trip to Benidorm, and if I'm honest, I didn't really know what to expect. I can genuinely say I had a fantastic time, and the Flamingo Beach Resort played a big part in making my holiday so enjoyable. The hotel was perfectly situated for my needs. It was just far enough away from the main hub of the nightlife to provide a much more relaxed atmosphere, while still being close enough to walk to everything I wanted to see and do. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. A special mention has to go to the barman at the Sky Bar, who was absolutely excellent. His friendly service and great attitude really stood out and made my evenings up there even more enjoyable. My room was spacious, comfortable and had everything I needed. It was kept spotless throughout my stay, with fresh towels provided every day, which was much appreciated. The restaurant offered an excellent variety of food. I honestly don't understand some of the previous reviews saying there wasn't enough choice. I found there to be plenty of options at every meal, and there was always something different to try. There was also plenty of space around the pools, even during the busiest times of the day. Being an adults-only hotel created a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. I enjoyed my stay so much that I've already booked to come back on the 3rd of September For me, the hotel, its location and Benidorm itself exceeded all of my expectations. I'm definitely a convert to Benidorm now and can't wait to return. Thank you to everyone at the Flamingo Beach Resort for making my first visit such a memorable one. Stuart Moore
