Ambar Beach Apartments

I booked directly with Joan. I am in Calpe to cycle in the morning and then eat on my terrace in the sun and rest on the terrace IN THE WINTER SUN. So, the orientation of the terrace is the main reason why I opt for one apartment or another. I informed myself earlier and Joan replied that she had "sun all day." Now I'm here at 12.00 all in the shade. COLD AND SHADE. The pool is also in the shade at 13.00. He cheated on me. The flat is old, furniture scarce..all that doesn't matter to me. But that sunshine thing is fundamental and I LIED. To pay him back. Solution?? None. It offers me instead of the €50 I have paid in advance to pay more and go to the apartment of a colleague of yours..80€ a night. I can't afford it. Here I am, trapped in Calpe without enjoying the sun. Too bad. DON'T BE FOOLED BY JOAN'S GOOD EDUCATION. If something doesn't go right, you've already paid and you're holding on. No discount, no solution, nothing.

My wife and I (Mick & Julie Smith) stayed there for 2nd year on trot and it was better this time around. Last year we had the lovely Olexandra and Raquel, this year had brilliant Monica and Gi Gi who are outstandingly friendly and more than helpful ☺️and we stayed in room 10C brilliant view over Med and 100% perfect room. Can't wait book next year's trip and hope they still working there

the check in desk is closed more often than it is open, so we checked in at the hotel next door (who were very helpful) nice pools which are not too busy (september) sun is gone in the afternoon No toilet paper or soap etc no sharp knives but there is a washing machine on the balcony (two balconies - one in front overlooking the sea and one in the back overlooking the lake with flamingos) there is a charge for parking -8 Euros / day i believe, which seems strange for a seaside resort - plenty of parking on the road.. weird wi fi arrangement - maximum of 2 people online at any on time (not door ro you lots of supermarkets moments away and the beach is a short walk away (they are clearing the seaweed every day so it is now a nice sandy beach with shops and eating places all along the front) little train close by to take you around the town we were there for a dance - at the hotel next door and the floor was fab and slippery
