Bungalows Puerta Del Sol

Should have posted this last year but totally forgot. Was September 19 rather than October.Another trip to calpe jogged my mind. Had mixed ratings but was in budget from me and my family. Could not complain at all. 3 bedrooms, big dining area and living area. Kitchen spacious with everything we needed. Nice garden out the back as well. Big swimming pool as well which was well maintained. Not too far to walk to town or taxi for 20 euros. Garage round the corner for essentials. Nothing to complain about but no air conditioning which wasn’t great in peak summer. Ended up with multiple mosquito bites. Would still go again and plan to next year

Booked for 8 people. We had a late flight arrival and late check-in so we were not so happy to have only beds made for 6 people and no extra linien for the extra bed. Almost everything was outdated in the apartment if not missing, i.e. no clotheslines for wet towels and clothes. The house arrangement itself and neighborhood was on the other hand nice and also the pool area. A bit confusing the private car park that supposed to belong to the apartment as we were asked by the neighbors to move our car (neither same number as the house nor the number on the key for the locked gate). When we booked the apartment online it was said to have air condition, but when we arrived we found out that was not true and not possible.

It´s difficult to make a good or a bad review when you kind of like the place but at the same time you kind of don´t like it. For starters, we booked this online and when we did our search our first choice was air condition, which came up in the search for this place. So when we booked it we were under the understanding we had booked a place with air condition. We also do not like to start our vacation by cleaning the houses we rent, specially when cleaning is included (this house was very dirty and the kitchen cabinets were specially greasy). This accommodation is listed as fully equipped, but we found that not to be true. The kitchen was lacking almost half of the utilities needed and some things weren't working (exp. toaster). So we were pretty disappointed to arrive to a dirty house with no air condition. However our complaints were all taken seriously and the staff did its best, offering us a new cleaning crew (but we had already cleaned our selves), and supplying us with utilities and a fan (which didn't do much in this heat). We also had complaints about no lights in rooms and they came and fixed it straight away. So we are happy with the service staff, and this house is spacious for large number of people. The house is in need of updating (kitchen door falling of, outdoor plastic furniture old and dirty and only set up for 4 people) and spring cleaning (curtains ect.), but it´s in a private setting and a nice quiet area. The house is a bit far away from the beach and old town, so a car is needed to enjoy your stay (we always drove to the beach or downtown). We would have been pleased and looked away from number of things if the house had air condition and had been clean.
