Hotel San Remo

The hotel is situated in the centre of Alicante, about 15 minutes walk from where the airport bus drops you by the beach. The room was nice, modern, clean and light with a balcony overlooking the street. It had ac, a comfy double bed and modern bathroom. Shower was hot and good pressure. Staff friendly. Some noise from drinkers leaving nearby bars at night but not noticeable with balcony door closed. Good option, would stay again.

The person who attended us was nice. Clean room and clean bathroom. Looking at the old photos, it has nothing to do with him now. The price is more than reasonable, if we return to Alicante, we would almost certainly return here. And since it is located in the heart of the city, it is very easy to find a bar and there are plenty of parking (although they are paid but at reasonable prices).

I stayed here for 8 nights while I was doing a Spanish course. San Remo was an excellent choice for me because it is right in the heart of the city close to all the main points of interest and a multitude of restaurants and tapas bars, cafes etc. I liked my room which had a balcony and large bathroom. It was on the 6th floor - lift does take a while to arrive sometimes but if you're feeling athletic you can go up the 6 flights of stairs! Breakfast is not included here but that is no problem in a place like Alicante as there are so many cafes offering it for about 3.50 Euros. Staff were all very nice and helpful.
