We booked a standard room with breakfast at Hotel Mexico through a platform. Our experience had its ups and downs, with several management details that the hotel should polish.
Check-in and management (The negative):
As soon as we arrived to check in (around 4:00 PM), they demanded an additional supplement of €40 not previously informed in the reservation. To top it off, upon going up to the first assigned room, we found it dirty and unprepared. Since we came with the intention of eating something quick, we had to change rooms in the middle of our meal after the call from the front desk. As compensation for the inconveniences, they offered us free parking, a gesture we appreciated after the chaotic start.
The room and the facilities:
The second room they assigned us was modern, remodeled, and had a view of the sea in the distance. The air conditioning worked perfectly. However, the small fridge (which included two bottles of water) would not turn on and there was no way to make it work during our entire stay; although since we spent almost the whole day out, it did not pose a major problem.
One point to improve is the orientation in the hotel: the signs are quite chaotic and the hallways are endless, so at first it is very easy to get disoriented when trying to find the reception or the dining room.
Breakfast:
The breakfast plan was acceptable. Correct and sufficient to start the day, although without great fanfare.
Conclusion:
In general terms, it is a hotel that is not bad for spending a few days, but the disorganization upon arrival and certain details in the facilities mean that it currently has a way to go to measure up to a true 4-star hotel.
