Cortijo La Alberca

Good first impression, but the experience fell quickly. When we made note that the chicken was raw, nothing was done with the case. As if that wasn’t enough, an extra beef was added to the bill. Then it is easy to understand why they have mandatory tips. If you’re going to eat here, you should check both the food and bill carefully – they don’t seem to have any control.

A true little paradise. Very beautiful and renovated with incredible taste. The rooms are spread throughout the garden in the form of small houses. A decoration that is more than meticulous, absolute and incredible calm. The inn offers meals for dinner by the beautiful small swimming pool and on a very nice terrace, as well as for breakfast with at least four or five options. The owners of the place are more than lovely, just like their children and the cats.

I visited with a friend. We wanted a peaceful night away in the country and this absolutely did not disappoint. The surroundings are tranquil and secluded yet close to the small quaint town of Nijar. The Cortijo offers a beautiful experience of tranquility and nature. The accommodation surrounds a lovely swimming pool and the breakfasting area looks onto the pool. Our room had fig trees around the door to which we were encouraged to help ourselves. The owner (and her family) was delightful and very accommodating. I will definitely be back to this little piece of heaven in the Andalusian countryside. Thank you.
