We went to celebrate our seventh anniversary and the truth is that it was a good experience. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet. Since it was the weekend, parking is free because the parking meter system is not in operation. A place that is not cheap but is worth it.

We travel so much in Spain, but will never choose Eurostars again. We spent two restless, sleepless, uncomfortable nights here. Our first day, the temperature in Oviedo was hitting mid 30s, and our bedroom was like a sauna. The air conditioning could not be reduced lower than 19 degrees! We reported this to reception and were met with a shrug - nothing could be done, deal with it. The truly bizarre thing is that the foyer, reception and hallways had full-on cold air conditioning (the hotel recognising the high temperatures), so you walk in to the hotel relieved to an airconditioned walk to your room door - but then open the door to be hit with the blast of heat from the room. Our first night some staff member had gone in while we were out and opened the single small window, thinking that would help! It was so hot in the room we considered pulling the bed towards the room door and leaving it open to get the correct air conditioning from the hall. If you are going to centrally control the room air conditioning and make the decision to keep the air conditioning high (I assume for costs?!), then at least buy a few electric fans to hand out to guests. We spent a night in Aviles and a night in Gijon at similarly priced hotels with excellent air conditioning that could be reduced to 15degrees. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Stayed here in May for two nights. As a regular traveller to Spain for over 20 years, I can safely say this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The air conditioning in the hotel was horrendous. Granted, we visited at a particularly warm period, but the air con could not be lower than 19°. Unbearable! When I raised the issue at reception, the solution was to open a window, even though it was 30° outside! Staff not at all friendly, breakfast poor and, overall, compared to other hotels in Asturias (Aviles and Gijon), a poor experience. Won't be going back.
