Azabache Susierra

This small hotel is located on the outskirts of Cangas de Onís. To go there you have to take the car, but it is just 5 minutes, and the location of the hotel in the middle of nature is truly bucolic and quiet. There is a small parking lot at the entrance that supplies more than enough for occupancy. Room more spacious than we imagined, very comfortable mattress and large bathroom. Highlight the cleanliness of the facilities. The staff always has a smile, explains everything to you with patience and pleasantness. Detail of writing to us to ask us about the arrival and offering the help we need to arrive. And to round it off, a very good price.

Pros.Easy to find just off main road. Room was clean with a comfortable bed. Reception was very helpful. Close to Buxu cave (worth a visit) Cons. WiFi only available in public areas. The sound of the TV, set very low and impossible to increase. Bathroom was dated but functional. Breakfast was average. Ask for a room away from the road (problems with neighbours dogs barking at 7am every day)

This is what happens when a venue is too popular to handle... Cangas de Oniz attracts huge crowds of tourists that want to discover the Picos, which results in hotels and restaurants that offer average to poor quality for high prices. This hostel is no exception. The room without airco was old and not very comfortable and service wasn't particularly friendly or helpful. It wasn't easy to find either, although it's located along the main road from Cangas eastward. On site parking is free of charge.
