Lousy. Mother knew how to handle it better. Your son, who was in charge, a dry deal and bordering on rude. To top it off, she tells us that she only puts soap in the room the first time as a welcome. Yeah, those tiny bars of soap, typical of any normal place. That bought in bulk, its price is negligible. Come on, buy it for yourself! I knew Gijón, before this waiter was born, he goes and tells me that soon we stick to the Asturian accent to those outside. Jewel the kid, come on. We go to this city a lot. My father was an Asturian, but to this hotel, in life more.

Good location for getting around Gijón. Rooms were spacious and clean but dated. Lifts were pot luck on whether they worked or not and not really man enough for the job. WiFi seemed to be good but didn’t really work which was frustrating. Breakfast was OK, hot and cold selections, fruit, yogurt. Plenty of choice. Staff were helpful.

Stayed here as part of a group of 11 friends. Hotel is within walking distance of harbour, beach, and lots of shops and restaurants. We didn't use a taxi the entire time we were here but for transport to the airport. Hotel room I stayed in was clean (could smell the disinfectant), the beds I think were some kind of memory foam - certainly not uncomfortable. There was a small tv in every room. We were on floor 9. The lifts seem a little dodgy! Staff are helpful and relatively friendly. Room is adequate, has everything you need to stay. It's not a four star hotel, there no mini bar, kettle blah blah - but I didn't need or want this. The bathroom was adequate but no ventilation so steamed up and was hot in there. The shower was fine, but had to hold the shower head as the holder wouldn't support its weight? The room was cleaned everyday we were there (two nights). Gijon doesn't seem pro tourist. Out of everywhere I have been in Spain, no one here speaks much English and the menus are all in Spanish - not a problem as I'm in a foreign country and expect to have to use a bit of sign language, but compared to other areas where English is a second language, gijon suffers a lot. The beach is nice and clean and the harbour is worth a visit. All in all, if you're going to use your hotel to sleep and clean in with basic facilities then this is absolutely fine and I recommend you stay here. If you're expecting anything more than a basic hotel then this one won't meet your expectations. If I were to return to gijon then I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.
