Ac Hotel Gijon

Spectacular hotel. It has a huge El Corte Inglés next to it. Far from the center. Ideal for traveling by car

As a data point, we stayed as a family of 4, 2 adults 2 young kids. We are titanium members. I booked a standard king room for 2 nights but used NUA which was successful and was upgraded to a suite. The suite was still a king bed, no extra beds or larger bed but it was effectively 2 rooms with the other room being a living room which came in handy for us. 2 bathrooms was a huge plus. Room is pretty standard AC hotel room. Room was clean. No complains. Location is a bit off the city center / old town. But we had a car so no issues driving into the city. There were outdoor parking which is free. We were lucky to get lots both nights. There is an EV charger in the basement carpark. The hotel allowed us to charge the car and not pay for parking in the basement carpark, as long as we moved our car after the charge. All in all, no complains, very standard AC hotel but I want to say, we were checked in by the most amazing lady who spent so much time entertaining and playing with my kids. She made them feel like rockstars. The welcome was 10/10. Her name is Beatrix. Diego by the desk was also lovely. Beatrix I understand doesn’t usually work in AC Gijon. She works in AC Oviedo. We were lucky to get to meet her. Titanium perks were a US$10 food and beverage discount per person per night, up to 2 people. We did not have breakfast here. Instead we used it for dinner at the restaurant. Both nights we ordered at the restaurant and brought the food up to our room to eat in our room. If you bring the food up yourself, there is no service charge. I would recommend this hotel if you had a car to travel around.

A work hotel, very good if you are traveling by car as it has parking right at the door, which is a huge advantage. The location is not the best since the center is about 30-40 minutes walking, although it is very simple as you just go down the entire avenue towards the sea. The room is adequate and the breakfast is very good. A gym with just enough to do a bit of exercise. It is a functional, modern hotel. For work, it seems fantastic to me. Good service at the bar/cafeteria and options for dinner or lunch if you do not want to complicate things too much.
