Parador de Zafra

This was our second stay at this parador. We had a superior room overlooking the front square. The room was comfortable, with the usual dark Spanish furniture, but it wss nice and cool away from the heat outside. The bathroom needs an update. The only thing that marred the stay was some antisocial behaviour by some youths who were shouting loudly and drinking and riding around thc square on bikes and scooters. This went on until 2 a.m.so no sleep was had.if this is not sorted it will affect the parador's business.i should think some permanent police intervention is needed.Certainly I didnt feel safe in case they came into the parador.The night staff said they shut the doors.

This is a small hotel located in a castle-like former manor house with a fantastic atmosphere, right in the center of Zafra. The staff there is truly incredibly friendly, helpful, and competent. I had forgotten something during my tour in the town before. Ana, the receptionist, ensured that it was sent by courier to another hotel where I was two days later. Thank you once again for that. Such dedication can be found elsewhere, but unfortunately only rarely.

The building is old and beautiful, but the rooms are terrifyingly horrible, the mattresses are harder than a rock, the decoration is from 1436, a ground floor whose two windows faced two parking lots, and the bathroom! Well, no comments; I think they need a bit of renovation.
