Eurostars Merida Palace

Hotel with an impeccable location. Decent rooms; I missed having a bottle of mineral water in a five-star hotel, especially in a city like Mérida where temperatures are high. Decent breakfast. It does not have parking as it is a fairly old building; the exterior is very beautiful. Very proper staff, we had already been there.

Our third stop during our trip in Extremadura: to end with a 5-star hotel chosen. Fantastically located on Plaza de España, very central to visit Mérida. Beautiful building with many authentic elements. There is no parking and due to parties in the city, the hotel was only accessible on foot. Not convenient... The pool on the third floor is nothing more than a large bathtub. 4 people and it is full... The breakfast looks fantastic but the hot dishes are cold. On day 3, frozen bread and old rolls from the day before. Never experienced! A large part of the staff is super friendly: special thanks to the lady who came in the evening to ask if everything was alright and the nice, attentive duo (elegant gentleman and pretty young lady) in the restaurant for breakfast on day 1 and 2. On day 3 we were already half an hour in the restaurant before we saw anyone... Not worth 5 stars for us and not recommended. Nevertheless a lot of potential...

Great hotel that lives up to its 5* The facilities, the cleanliness, and the treatment from their employees… Its pool is small, but it is worth visiting for the views it offers.
