Maritim Hotel Calella

Excellent position. Excellent room…perfect in every way. Breakfast was good too.

The hotel has a great location. However, by check-in, we were given probably one of the worst rooms. For accommodation in a room with a sea view paid 12 euros per person per night. And that 168 euros. The room wasn't very clean. Dust in the closet and on it almost to your finger. Daily cleaning is poor : floors have been cleaned for only 3 days, dust is not wiped, mirrors are not cleaned, as is the mixer on the washbasin. Poor soundproofing. Neighbors let me sleep. If you want to take an iron - be prepared to pay 20 euros deposit (this money will return you ), however there are only 3 grand (so I was told at the reception). As for the reception, the staff is extremely unfriendly. In the dining room, you cannot take out even a peach (may even be searched). Breakfasts are monotonous, dinners are varied, but all drinks are free, even water.

On the front in Calella, a great location. Loads of restaurants nearby and a restaurant and bar in the hotel. Comfortable room, good facilities. Clean and tidy, not much noise other than the odd drunk passing buy outside. Certainly value for money, staff provided excellent service. not sure what tripadvisor mans by atmosphere.
