Abba Sants hotel

I chose the hotel based on being near Sants and 4 stars. The location was good and the common areas + room are what I would call entry level 4 star. The Room: Missing water, no outlets near beds, tiny TV, otherwise it was good enough. The windows seemed paper thin so I could not only hear cars, but conversations of people walking by. It's a busy street! It was so noisy in the room! THE FRONT DESK: Three visits in 24 hours. Visit 1) Check in. It was the hottest day of the year. Both women looked up when I entered the lobby, I said "caliente" and neither even acknowledged me. The woman who helped me was unfriendly, especially when I asked for a view and she said condescendingly "all rooms have windows... that face the street". So, I re-asked for a room with a good view. She told me that all standard rooms are on the 1st or 2nd floor, otherwise I have to pay 30 euro additional to be away from the street. I signed using a pen with no ink. I was expecting a welcome drink and water as part of my rate, neither were offered. She was so unfriendly. Visit 2) I returned to the hotel that evening and mentioned to the gentleman at the desk that my rate included a drink and water. It was clear that I was never going to get the drink, but he wouldn't even give me the water! He spend several minutes typing into the computer and then said if I take a water from the refrigerator, I will need to pay. I asked him to confirm that there's no free water. He said that only the one on the counter was free. I explained that there was NO WATER ON THE COUNTER. He typed some more, looked at me, typed, and then gave me my one bottle of free water. Of course, there was no free drink. Visit 3) Check out. There were 10 people on line in front of me. TEN! One person to help 10 people!!! I left. To me, this is a bad hotel because of the staff! What a shame.

A good hotel, pleasant, very close to the station, we slept well and had a good dinner there. Good bedding and welcoming staff. Prices are always a bit high. We will return to this.

Location was great. Lots of small bars and coffee shops nearby and a Lidl AND Aldi you need it !! The room was a bit dated but the bed was really comfortable and we had a great sleep. Fab shower too. Didn’t have breakfast but went to a local pastry shop nearby.
