Barcelona Airport Hotel

Great and pleasant hotel, a very warm welcome awaits you at the entrance and the rooms are very clean. However, a young blonde woman who works in the restaurant service does not reflect the hotel at all; she is not welcoming, not helpful, and not honest, making us pay €13 for a virgin mojito instead of the €9 charged by her other colleagues.

I booked this hotel for myself/husband and daughter. When we went into our room we found that the A/C was not working. I called reception numerous times but there was no answer. I then decided to go to reception and speak with someone. When I got to reception there was a female receptionist who said she would send a technician to sort the issue out. The technician arrived within half an hour. He fiddled around with the the panel and informed us that it was now working. We proceeded to wait approx one hour before I went down to reception to inform them that the A/C is still not working. Unfortunately for me the THING on reception was downright rude and ignorant and insisted on telling me the aircon had been repaired and was working. I informed her it was not but she persisted to argue with me. I asked to speak with a manager and was told there is no one available and the staff allegedly were running the hotel. I asked for her name and she refused and continued to argue and refuse to allocate another room. I then took a picture of her so I could put in a formal complaint as she had refused to give me her name and she then grabbed my arm and started assaulting me and further threatened to call the police when SHE was the aggressor. I told her to get her hands off me and to call the police as she was wrong and should not be in a customer service post as she doesn’t have the basic skills to have a normal conversation with anyone. The police came and said that the only solution to prevent this from escalating would be for her to allocate us another room and voila 😂 a room was conjured up from thin air and we were moved. Our basic right for what we had booked included air con which is a necessity and this arrogant thing was the most obnoxious argumentative thing I have ever come across! She needs to be sacked. Take this as a warning if you book this hotel. My mistake was not to read the previous review! AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST IF YOU DON’T WANT YOUR HOLIDAY RUINED!

We had a good stay at Barcelona Airport Hotel. The hotel was nice, the food was good and overall we had a pleasant experience. The only things that let it down for us were the gym, which was quite mediocre and could definitely do with some improvements, and the extra tax. We weren’t aware that we would have to pay an additional tax on top of what we had already paid for the stay, so it would have been nice if this was made clearer when booking. Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again.
