Barcelona Catedral

Absolutely amazing place. 100% this is a 5 star hotel. Nothing could be faulted. The service from the staff, people on reception, the restaurant, especially the young man on the door, he was so utterly helpful to us, all of them were just fantastic. I have nothing but praise for this hotel. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable with towels changed and the beds made every day. It is clean and ideally located, within walking distance of everything, attractions, bars, restaurants and shops. The breakfasts are to die for. You get a basket of pastries, bread, jams, cakes with freshly squeezed orange juice brought to your table. With coffee and milk too. There is also the option to order cooked items and cold meats/cheeses. It was just amazing, probably the best breakfast we have ever had in a hotel!. Again. Service was impeccable. T e icing on the cake was most definitely the roof terrace pool. It look exactly as the hotel photos, no surprised which is great. Such a bonus in the middle of a city centre when it has been so so hot. Bar staff would bring drinks up to you too, if requested. Would recommend 100% and without hesitation. If we went back to Barcelona, we would definitely go back here.

If you made a decision to stay in the Gothic Quarter, then you can’t go wrong with selecting this hotel. It’s in a great location that makes it walkable to everything in the Quarter. I’d look up where we wanted to go on my map app and everything was always less than a 10 minute walk. The hotel is very clean and the staff is great. There is also a wine and cheese event from 5 to 5:30 everyday (but it’s only one glass of wine per person). The breakfast in the cafe is 22 euros which might sound pricey, but you get plenty to eat - a basket of excellent pastries, fresh squeezed OJ, coffee, and then a selection of breakfast entrees. Sit out in the courtyard to dine, it’s very chill. Some reviews comment on the noise level. There is a large plaza around the corner that is right in front of the Catedral de Barcelona. During our stay there was a large scale music festival going on in the plaza and we could easily hear it in our room. However, the music ended around 11 pm and then the outside noise level was negligible. The noise level on the other nights was not bothersome.

We loved this hotel! So friendly, accommodating, clean. Great location too!
