Crowne Plaza Bcn Fira Center

A very big spacious and beautiful hotel with some annoyances. The location is good for Montjuic or for trains to Montserrat from Plaça de la espanya. However it's far from central city areas like gothic quarter. Our ac was fine the first night but had an issue the second and the room became very hot at 3am. It resolved by 9am. The staff is very pleasant but seem to be cycling in and out a lot. Every 20 min you see new members of staff which leads to repeated follow-ups for requests. Breakfast was very nice and expansive. Noise level was good the rooms were clean. If you get breakfast included it's a good value for money.

You would expect a hotel of this quality to be an absolute fortune--thankfully its not and has to be the best value for money in Barcelona. The place is stunning. Thev staff are 5 star level across the board and offer an elevated service style which just works so well. Roof top pool is fantastic as is the restaurant here--one little negative is that they allow smoking here which is not great. Rooms are beautiful and clean. All in all 5 stars and a great place to stay.

As a loyal IHG member I seek out Intercontinental brand. I was pleased to find one in Barcelona for a leisure trip. It is located away from the main tourist area in a sleepy neighborhood but below the scenic Mountjuic area. It had a humble entrance but once inside it lived up to the iHG standards. Attractive and well appointed spaces with the a "quality" feeling. With a club reservation it's always nicer to check in in an Intercontinental club lounge. a special feeling to start your stay in a nice lounge with available food and beverages. The suite we reserved was enjoyable but the layout was awkward like wasted space but it worked. The roof top had great views and feel of Europe. The spa area especially the pool and saunas were first rate. Breakfast downstairs was the star situated with floor to ceiling windows. Service was attentive and great selection. Overall it is a comfortable place to enjoy Barcelona, well located and great customer service.
