Although not close to main attractions, this was a great hotel! Staff were extremely courteous & helpful. Great restaurant & they have a beautiful walking trail nearby. Highly recommend

My husband, 9 year old son and I stayed here for 4 nights before getting a cruise from Barcelona and we picked this hotel so that it was a little more resorty and slighly out of the city hustle and bustle. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service that you can book to go into the City however we just took a short walk to the metro which was very easy and convienient. First impressions of the open lounge/reception area were fantastic. Check In was very smooth and quick. We were provided quite a lot of information regarding where things were and opening times of restaurants (we had Breakfast included) etc. Our room had two double beds and was a decet size, we certanly didnt feel too cramped. There was plenty of storage space to put all our belongings and also hide our suitcases. The beds were amazing and possibly the comfiest we've ever experienced in a hotel, we loved the bed linen too, very good quality and so soft. We all slept really well. While the bathroom itself was quite spacious with a decent walk in shower the separate toilet was a little cosy once the door was closed. Nice toiletries provided and extra large thick fluffy bath towels were a great bonus. No complaints on the cleanliness and room was made up each day with certain items replenished. During our stay we visted the pool twice, on neither occasions did we have an issue with getting loungers but it was busy and people that arrived after us couldn't get directly out by the pool and went up on the grass area which is fine unless you have younger children you want to watch closely. This year they introuduced new rules for the pool and no toys or floats were allowed which i do understand given the size and how busy it got but also took some of the fun away for the children and my son likes to have his sinkies and dive for them. Also at the time of booking it wasn't clear that the other outdoor pool was adult only and the indoor was a chargable item (since returning we've noticed the website does make that very clear now) so we were expecting to have a few options. As we were only there a couple of days it didnt really affect us and wouldnt stop us booking to stay again either. We did have breakfast and it was always well stocked, the fresh orange juice was lovely. I'm never a breakfast fan but there was something for everyone, plenty of pastries, fresh meat/cheese and cooked options. We didnt have dinner at any of the restaurants but did have a lovely pizza lunch from the onsite restaurant next to the pool which was very tasty and they delivered to our daybed by the pool which was great. All the staff were really friendy, polite and professional and we didnt have any issues during our stay. Yes there were a couple of very small niggles but would we stay here again - absolutely!! We really did have a fantastic stay, would highly recoomend to others and will stay again when cruising from Barcelona.

We stayed at Torre Melina Gran Meliá in Barcelona from 17 to 18 September, combining a business trip with a short stay with my wife, and we had a truly excellent experience. Location & RedLevel Experience We stayed in the RedLevel on the 9th floor and were very pleased with the overall experience. Having access to the RedLevel Lounge added a special touch to our stay and made everything feel more comfortable and exclusive. Room & Cleanliness Our room was spacious, beautifully maintained and exceptionally clean. The size of the room, the comfort and the overall quality were exactly what we expected from a hotel of this level. Breakfast & Restaurants Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. The quality and variety were excellent, particularly the additional selections available through the VIP/RedLevel menu. The hotel restaurants were also very good, with excellent food and service. Pool & Spa The outdoor swimming pool and spa facilities were excellent. Both areas were beautifully maintained and provided a relaxing atmosphere, which was particularly appreciated after a busy working day. Service & Hospitality What impressed us most was the hospitality of the staff. Everyone we interacted with was professional, welcoming and attentive, making us feel genuinely well looked after throughout our stay. Special Thanks to Cristina & Irene I would especially like to thank Cristina and Irene from the Reservations team. Both were exceptionally kind, respectful and helpful. Their willingness to assist guests and their warm, professional attitude deserve special recognition. People like Cristina and Irene make a real difference to the overall hotel experience. Overall Experience Torre Melina Gran Meliá provided an excellent combination of comfort, quality facilities, great food and outstanding hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the RedLevel experience, and we would be very happy to return on our next visit to Barcelona.
