First of all, this is not a expensive hotel which offers a single room with a private bathroom which is not easy to find. The price you pay is what you get ! Room is small and a small bathroom just enough for a single traveller
I stayed for one night but definitely you can stay for couple of days more with basic requirements for a budget traveller. Towels, soaps & shampoo are provided as well. The room I was given was small and had to virtually cross over the bed to reach the bathroom. Shower is decent with hot water. Breakfast was part of the price and was very basic to start your day off - just bread, butter, croissants & coffee.
The biggest plus point is the location. A few meters walk to reach the beach and few meters to reach La Rambla. This hotel is in Gothic quarter so you can tick off one place to see in Barcelona by living here.
I came here with least expectations after reading the comments but was extremely happy with my short stay.

Didn't pay a lot considering hotel prices in Barcelona. It's very basic but rooms were cleaned everyday. Guy on reception spoke very good English and was very helpful (only too happy to let me use his PC to print off our boarding passes etc) and i'm currently learning Spanish so he helped me along with that also. Main plus of our stay here was the central location. 2 minute walk to the Marina and 5 mins to Las Ramblas and 10 mins to beach. There's also loads of bars/restaurants on same street. Those who've given this place a bad review need to think about what they've paid and maybe reconsider their expectations. You get what you pay for.

Centrally located not far from las ramblas. It is basic, it’s a Hostal and it’s cheap so don’t expect too much. Cheap and cheerful but clean and the reception guy was very helpful. Hot in the rooms as night as no air con but we managed.
