Royal Marina Gardens

Excellent place. Exceeded expectations. Its location is unbeatable, just a few blocks from the beach and with the bus stop that takes you to the center of Barcelona in 30 to 45 minutes (depending on traffic). We booked the apartment for two people, very comfortable and well-equipped. We had a sort of patio in the garden where there was a table with chairs that allowed us to eat there while enjoying the outdoors. The pool is quite ideal for having a good time if you are not a big fan of the beach. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I had a problem with my flight delay, and they responded immediately. The only downside I can find is that there is no supermarket or store nearby. While they are not far, it is tedious to come loaded or to have to go several times, but nothing that overshadows everything else. I would return without hesitation

Gava Mar was a good location for a relaxing stay. Thank you Ivan and Marc - truly great staff. They went above and beyond and incredibly helpful when dealing with forgotten items after checked out—a huge relief and testament to their professionalism. The cleaning staff deserves special mention. The rooms were immaculate and the bathroom spotless. Extras were provided without asking and plenty: extra bedsheets, soap, washing up liquid, drying rack and toilet rolls. I was very pleased photos online are a realistic representation of accomodation; no unpleasant surprises. Very likely to return as staff made the stay super-welcoming! Useful tips for fellow travelers: Bus: bus stop to city has live bus arrival times. When taking the bus, sit toward the back—the front tends to get crowded even when empty seats are available at back. Avoid at rush hour times, it is chaos. Water: tap water is undrinkable (taste-wise), fine for tea but bottles can be purchased at reception area. Food: mall located Avenue del Canal Olimpic has good range supermarkets and well-priced dining options. Veritas is an organic supermarket nearby and Lidl too. Beach: has showers and foot wash stations at regular walk intervals. Locals have group meditation and dancing classes during the week at Placa de les Palmeres - unsure if paid or free to join.

The Royal Marina Gardens apartments are located in a perfect location to give you a mix of relaxed Spanish beach life and easy access to the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. The L94 and L95 stop right outside and take you to the centre of Barcelona. Lovely and clean with enclosed gardens and pool made this our perfect short break location. The apartment was clean and had the right amount of space for the two of us. We could have stayed much longer but our flights were booked and we had to go home! We used the Ambici bikes, just 5 minutes walk away, to ride the 15 miles to the Cornella Riera metro station then got the train into Barcelona from there. Great fun and only €1.50 bike charge (after subscribing on the app, approx €12) We also used the €11 ticket which gives you 8 rides on public transport. We used it to get 4 rides each, a really cheap way to travel. Be careful though, without a ticket the buses only take cash! If you’re looking for great value accommodation, friendly staff, access to amazing beaches and wonderful food, the Royal Marina Gardens apartments are for you👍
