Hotel not recommended at all. You arrive, pay, and when you leave they tell you that they haven't charged you for parking. You show them that you have, and they insist that you haven't. You give them their 25 euros tip and leave never to return. Parking spaces for motorcycles are ridiculous, not even a Yaris can park there. On top of that, you end up paying for two spaces. It is ridiculous that Barcelona allows this type of establishment to be open.

My experience at Hotel Ónix Rambla in Barcelona was quite disappointing. One of the main problems is that the air conditioning simply does not work outside of summer, and this is not informed at the time of booking. Even with the milder outside temperature, the room is extremely muggy and uncomfortable, making the stay unpleasant. The frigobar also does not work at this time, which makes the situation even worse. This situation becomes even worse by the fact that I am traveling with a 5 month old baby. Excessive heat in the room directly compromises the comfort and well-being of the child, which makes the lack of air conditioning something unacceptable. In addition, I faced a serious problem with the room safe, which was not working properly. And, to make it worse, I had a worrying episode: the maid ended up taking my credit card, possibly mistakenly confusing it with some hotel card. I contacted the reception immediately, but no effective action was taken to resolve the problem. In general, there is a lack of transparency in the information and efficiency in the care. I do not recommend.

Stayed at this hotel in January 2026. Price per night - 220 euros. The location is really convenient: the centre of Barcelona, nearby main attractions. Unfortunately, that's where the upside ends. The settlement was unsuccessful. I wrote to the hotel in advance asking to check in an hour early (1:00 p.m. instead of 2:00 p.m.), a practice that in most hotels with low occupancy does not raise questions. However, I was not only refused, but actually checked in at 2:40 p.m. without prior notice. Information about the delay came only when contacting the reception in person. The state of the interior leaves much to be desired. The impression is that no repairs have been done since the early 2000s: worn floors, swollen paint on ceilings and walls, leak marks. The plumbing is old and worn out. In my room, the toilet wasn't fixed to the floor, which was a serious concern when used. Furniture is minimal: two beds and one chair per double room. The foot towel was the same size as a normal napkin. The absence of a kettle or at least a hot water cooler - either in the room or in public areas - was particularly perplexing. As someone who drinks tea daily, I was extremely surprised. When asked at the reception, they said that “it is their custom” and suggested going to the cafe. There was no welcome bottle of water in the room either - only a paid minibar where water costs 2.5 euros. For 220 euros per night in the centre of Barcelona you can find much more decent options with a basic level of comfort. This hotel, unfortunately, has not lived up to expectations. Not recommended.
