We wanted to share our experience during our recent three-night stay. Unfortunately, it was a very uncomfortable experience because of the air conditioning during the heat wave. The AC would only stay at our preferred temperature if someone was moving around the room. Once we stopped moving or fell asleep, the temperature would automatically increase to 23°C. We woke up every night because the room became too warm. On one occasion, my husband and child left the room while I was still inside. The lights turned off, and the AC immediately reset to 23°C, even though I was still in the room. I called the front desk, and a maintenance employee came to check it. He told me there was nothing he could do. We understand the hotel's efforts to conserve energy, but we paid a premium to stay over the weekend. Guests should not have to keep moving around the room—or even while sleeping—to keep the air conditioning running. When we checked out, we mentioned this issue to the front desk again. We were told that the sensor only controls the lights and does not affect the AC. However, based on our experience over all three nights, that was simply not the case. We also paid extra for the daily breakfast. The food was good, although the menu was the same each day. I appreciated the sign encouraging guests not to waste food. One suggestion I would make is to also remind guests to use a clean plate each time they return for more food. We noticed many people reusing their dirty plates while serving themselves again and touching the shared serving utensils. That was quite unhygienic and unpleasant to see.

Stayed here with my mum and dad for a couple of nights before going on a cruise and this place didn’t disappoint! Considering this hotel is slap bang in the middle of the ramblas, you don’t hear anything - the double/triple/whatever window glazing WORKS! The location is excellent as well - decent walking distance from everything so you won’t miss out on all the sights. Our room had a big double bed and a sofa bed by the window and I’ve only got the couple of photos from when I woke up in the mornings and had a nice sunrise view from my bed but it was comfy and I wasn’t disturbed by noise or light etc. The air con works !!! The staff were so friendly when we checked in and our room was ready when we arrived (around 12pm) so they let us sort out our bags even though we fully expected to have to wait so that was nice of them to accommodate. Refillable water stations are in reception and also on each floor of rooms - I think they’re on a sustainability mission - and the whole place smells fresh! The onnllyyyyy thing was that some parts of the room had marks/weren’t sorted for our changeover/check in (I had marks on my bed sheets and bits - I don’t know what of - on my pillow but checked for bugs so can only put it down to a genuine mistake or mishap in the cleaning changeover for our room so wouldn’t be put off staying again tbh.

The hotel was in a great location, for all our destination and tourist needs during our stay. The WiFi was awful, we could hardly get connected. We had a small issue with the reception desk upon check in and a member of staff letting themselves into our room. The sofa in the room was made up as a third bed, which was really hard and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Lots of construction going on outside the hotel, which thankfully didn’t disrupt our stay. However, a heads up on the situation might have been handy to know
