To start positively: good beds, room big enough and breakfast was good. Negative: to use the underground parking you must have good parking skills and be able to maneuver well in narrow corridors. The rooms are very poorly insulated. Both the noise from the highway outside and from other people inside is really not okay. I checked three times to see if the window was really closed because you heard the cars so loud. The air conditioning made the first night hellish noise. This reported at the desk and the night after the noise was less. In short, there are better hotels nearby for the same budget

We had a pleasant stay at Sercotel Porta Barcelona, staying here to watch a Barcelona Women’s match at the nearby Estadi Johan Cruyff. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which set a great tone from the start. The room was clean and perfectly adequate for a short break, though the air conditioning could have been a bit stronger. Strangely the key card kept de-registering from the room, but the staff always quickly resolved it with a smile. Breakfast was nice, good variety and fresh options to start the day. The local area is quiet, which made it easy to relax, and getting into the city centre was simple thanks to the nearby tram. Overall, a solid base for exploring Barcelona with great service and a calm atmosphere.

This is a fairly large hotel not far from the motorway through Sant Just Desvern, a suburb of Barcelona and within driving distance of the airport. I was met by friendly and service-minded staff and got a large room with fridge, coffee machine and a bathroom with shower on the fifth floor. Along the street there is plenty of space to park, but there were few available spaces so I chose to book a place in the hotel's basement garage for 15 €. The night was quiet and the breakfast was excellent with yoghurt, scrambled eggs, bacon and fresh bread to cut. Affordable.
