Hotel Via Augusta

Not the biggest room I've ever had, but perfect for my solo travel, and have to say the staff are very attentive and the breakfast well worth the the price. I was a tad apprehensive for a 2-star place, but Via Augusta went above that in my opinion, super quite and the location worked really well for me as it was close to several Metro lines, and in walking distance of a lot of conveniences. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the cleanliness of my room and bathroom, and the rainfall shower and ample towel were just the thing. Also, the 9th-floor outdoor lounge was nice, and a perfect spot to view the Sunday night fireworks display at the port.

Pros: Extremely spacious room, excellent lighting both in the bedroom and bathroom, everything was very comfortable and absolutely worth the price. Staff service was extremely good and attentive, they even gave us recommendations of interesting spots to visit in the city. Breakfast was very complete, well-prepared and tasty, and the cleanliness throughout the entire hotel was impeccable. Cons: The angle of the shower is not the most comfortable possible for taking a shower.

Well-located, comfortable, clean, air-conditioned, pleasant hotel, hearty, varied, and good breakfast for €14. Good value for money.
