I was here for 4 nights.
Initially when I arrived at the hotel via cab at approx 10 pm from the airport I was unable to gain access as I needed a door code to enter the property- the hotel was not staffed.
Thankfully the cab driver saw my panic and called and spoke to the hotel head office. My cell phone was not working at this time as the roaming had not clicked in and I would have been unable to do this myself.
Apparently although my Booking.com receipt stated I had paid in full the there a 2 euro tourist tax that required payment and as I had not paid I did not have an entry code. I also have to add I was totally unaware of this mystery tax- maybe Booking.com would like to chip in here as to why my bill stated paid in full- yet there was an additional charge.
Anyway, as a stranger in Barcelona I was so grateful to the cab driver otherwise I had no idea what I would have done that first night.
The room was clean but compact and roasting hot- I traveled the weekend of 40 degree temps and no one had had the forethought to turn on the a/c for an arriving guest.
No safe in room, however, there was a small fridge and the shower room/toilet were tastefully appointed. There were sachets of shampoo etc but seriously save the waste and pack small ones.
The bed was comfy- memory foam I think along with the pillows.
Despite some of the images on TripAdvisor no food was served and staff were only at front desk for a few hours a day so should you need restaurant/attraction advice or should an emergency occur forget it.
There was a lift to all floors.
The local tube station was Maria Cristina down the hill about half mile though there were buses.
I found their underground very intuitive.
This place is not central at all and at the time I was there end June early July I found restaurants very hit or miss with regards to what was open.
Should you be looking for simply a room with no bar, food options, or place to sit and enjoy a afternoon beer then this is the place for you.

staff is not kind especially the guy in thirties on the reception.
breakfast is not good and I stayed there 3 nights, the third day I was going to vomit from the smell. I don't know what they were frying that day at early morning. there is small stairs before u reach the elevator.
I paid 130 euros per night and they are not worth half the price.
they are near a metro station but u end up walking ten minutes up a hill to reach the hotel. i did not lie the experience at all.

Rather unusual circumstances, we were stranded in Barcelona after a nightmare 48 hours & needed overnight accommodation.
Did a Groupon Search & this Hotel came up as available but needed to give 14 days notice, called them before buying the groupon spoke to the Spanish & English speaking male receptionist.
I fully explained the circumstances & he explained he only had one room left, but we could use the groupon.
I gave my credit card details bought the groupon & arrived within the hour.
I had the groupon clearly visible on my iPad, & we booked in, I went to park the car in their garage so I had to leave reception, at this stage the female receptionist said to my wife they would not accept the groupon & demanded payment by card, as my wife had had an extremely stressful couple of days she just paid & didn't tell me as she knew what my reaction would be.
Having parked I made my way to our room which was extremely tired to say the least & I have stayed in better hostels in Spain.
The bathroom was not particularly clean, the bedroom furniture old & the door was hanging off the very old mini fridge, which contained only three items.
The entire room needed modernising & the hotel is not worth what you pay.
I subsequently confronted the staff about being charged & they denied the original arrangements.
I don't know if they have some system that they can skim their employers off but in my opinion both of the members of staff I dealt with were nothing more than dishonest & I would like to use far stronger language.
This hotel is part of the Grupo Husa, & if some senior manager would like to contact me I will willingly discuss this.
This wasn't language difficulty as my wife speaks fluent Spanish & mine is passable.
Lastly, breakfast was excellent, even if they charged us €22.00 for what should have been included.
Far better & cheaper accommodation available in Barcelona.
