Hotel Alenti

This is a gem of a hotel. With a small amount of rooms it feels very personal. Very central and easy access to the beach. Restaurants and shops are all in close proximity. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely to have a pool on the roof in the centre of town. I have already booked to go back!

Our stay at Alenti was one disappointment after another. The first thing we encountered was a toilet seat with a large brown stain on it. Not exactly the welcome you expect from a boutique hotel. The rooms facing the square were unbearably noisy. It felt like sleeping in the middle of the street, making it almost impossible to get a proper night’s sleep. To make matters worse, the beds were extremely hard, the pillows were flat, and the bedding was little more than a thin sheet. The rooftop pool is only about 90 cm deep, making it more of a decorative feature than a place where you can actually cool off. Communication with the reception was difficult, as the staff spoke very limited English. After our second night we finally managed to get one of our rooms changed, but not without unnecessary hassle. We were pressured to vacate the original room immediately, even though standard check-out time had only just passed. We also discovered that one of the rooms had not even been cleaned after the first night. There were several other frustrating moments, including being told we could not use the laundry service because it was Sunday, and when we finally received the keys to the new room, they didn’t work, forcing yet another trip back to reception. The hotel has a modern design and a central location, but unfortunately those positives are outweighed by poor cleanliness, uncomfortable rooms, noise, inconsistent housekeeping, and disappointing service. We expected far more from a hotel at this price point and would not stay here again.

What a nice hotel. Very nice renovated. Neat. Convenient location. Parking at 3 min steps. Note this is on a square car free. 1 min from the beach. Everything within walking distance, cafes, restaurants, shopping street and everything you need. What is important to know is that it is located in an entertainment district. We didn’t find this disturbing at all because I can sleep perfectly with Earplugs and my girlfriend likes that buzz to fall asleep. We had a superior room. Very ok from big! Always very neatly polished. We had room 22 and it was at the back so we probably had less noise. Breakfast seems small but everything is there and very fresh. They prefer to lay with little bits and replenish where necessary. This is what makes it look small but not at all! Highly recommended in this charming coastal town. We will definitely be back!
