We spent 4 days here with my wife after our trip to Africa, and overall it was a very pleasant experience.
The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the room met the standards we expected from this brand.
We chose not to include breakfast, which worked well for us. The hotel breakfast was reasonably priced compared to many nearby cafés, but we also enjoyed exploring different cafés and local cuisines during our stay.
One of the biggest advantages of the hotel is its location near the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, which is absolutely worth visiting.

One can ruin a stay with wifi that does not work (from rooms 409 and 403). We had to go to the hotel lobby to catch a signal 2/4!
This lasted for two days and nights.
Apart from that, this red IBIS does not have a fridge in the room but offers you a glass bottle to fill on the landing (in a nightgown?)
But no problem: the very noisy and intermittent air conditioning will wake you up periodically.
The desk area is even more basic.
So, charging for a 3-star experience for a 1-star comfort (and even that...)
For me: more red IBIS 🥵

Nice hotel. Typical Ibis setup. Staff nice and very helpful.
Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Plaza Moyua. Room was clean and had everything I needed.
Staff gave me a map and marked key landmarks like the Guggenheim etc. Helpfully, they pointed out a neighborhood to avoid - google it yourself or ask them for advice. Importantly, the hotel itself is in a fairly safe area and I always felt safe coming or going.
Breakfast was a standard buffet style. Food was fresh and plentiful.
I'd recommend this hotel if you want a no frills, affordable, safe hotel for a short trip to Bilbao. I was very happy with my time there.
