SILKEN GRAN DOMINE

This property was amazing from start to finish. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the valets to the moment we checked out, everything was perfect. Situated directly across from the Guggenheim Museum, The Artist is the perfect place to take in all that Bilbao has to offer. The stunning atrium soars the height of the 7 floors of the hotel. In addition, the completely glass elevators are the most available and efficient anywhere. Bottled water was in our room when we arrived and refreshed when we returned in the evening. There was an unexpected turn down service at night with slippers and a foot cloth laid at our bedside.. The hotel’s modern decor and extensive art displays top off the show stopping accommodations. We truly loved our stay here.

We recently stayed at the Artist Grand Hotel in Bilbao for 3 nights. What a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and greeted us warmly and I cannot say enough about the team that oversaw our experience daily at breakfast and also the team that provided service at the Terrace in the afternoon. I have not seen such exceptional care, attention to detail in quite some time. The hotel is perfectly situated across the street from the Gugenheim Museum … away from the bustling central plaza and down town but easy enough of a walk. The staff, however, may our stay increibly exceptional. The gym is fairly small but perfectly fine. There is a sauna which I had hoped to use but did not have time. Aside from this, the people who worked here were just really amazing.

This is a great hotel that works perfectly for a visit to the Guggenheim. It even has a roof terrace overlooking the museum for breakfast and the cocktail hour. The hotel is new enough that everything works, but they have softened it with interesting touches of art. The staff could not do enough for us - I give them top marks for service. Even valet parking was a breeze! Quite a walk to the Old Town, but a nice walk back after sunset.
