Extremadura Hotel

I asked for an iron at noon and, after using it, I put it away in the closet. Apparently, when they cleaned the room, they opened the closet and took the portable ironing board and the iron. Therefore, they touched my personal things, my personal items and my clothes, which I had stored in the closet. When I returned to the room, I saw that those items were no longer there and, therefore, I knew that they had touched my things. I went down to the front desk and mentioned it to the receptionist, who told me that that should not be done and that she was taking note. I returned to the room and, honestly, it seemed like a very uncomfortable and very violent situation to me, but I understood that a solution would be provided or that some measure would be taken regarding it. However, the next day, during check-out, at no time was I asked how my stay had been. Neither was an apology offered to me by the receptionist, nor did the manager or the head of reception speak with me. Therefore, I consider that this demonstrates a lack of professionalism, both on the part of the person who cleaned the room and on the part of the reception team. In addition to all this, it was clearly visible that the carpet on the floor was torn and that the room furniture was very outdated. In other words, the stay has been truly terrible, but mainly due to the discomfort and the feeling of violation that comes with someone having rummaged through your personal belongings.

We stayed at the Extremadura hotel in Cáceres for 2 nights at the end of August; we booked it for its location, which is unbeatable. Since it was a 4-star hotel, I assumed it would be fine; to our surprise, we found a hotel from the 70s that was very neglected. In the hallway of the floor where our room was, there were huge tears in the carpet on the floor, very neglected. The room was normal, more of the same, very dirty windows that, when opened to let in some fresh air, spiderwebs would come loose... very unpleasant. We booked bed and breakfast. I am very lactose intolerant (even with a pill). When checking in, I made it known at the front desk. To my surprise, in the dining room, there was absolutely nothing for those who are intolerant (I had fruit for breakfast). What there was, was lactose-free milk. The little fridge where they keep it, when opening the door, was totally rusty... even so, I poured myself a cup of milk, but when I tasted it, it was spoiled... anyway, our experience was quite bad. The cleaning ladies and the reception staff were lovely, it must be said. This hotel has 3 and a half stars too many. I'm not going back, not even if I were crazy

A very cozy hotel, and well located, The best part of all were their servers Alicia and Raquel, two good professionals and even better people, super pleasant, who made our stay even better.
