Clean rooms. But bad experience in terms of reception. We were happy to discover the region thanks to a good groupon kindly offered. Not having confirmation of my booked stay since July, I telephoned the hotel where a gentleman kindly asked me to contact him via WhatsApp. When we arrived there, reception did not have our reservation. The boss arrived on site and took it down by making us understand that we should have called Fortunately I had proof of my messages and we were able to get our room. (Weird) Evening meals and lunches really insignificant and not good. Fortunately the bars and restaurants in Arcos were able to make our stay a little more agreable

We had a very bad experience with this hotel that should be a warning to other travelers. We made a confirmed reservation for a room on hotels.com. When we arrived around 3.30 pm, the hotel claimed to be fully booked, and had no room for us. We could not obtain any information either by the hotel, or by hotels.com (who have been singularly inaccessible and unhelpful) about how a reserved and confirmed room could just disappear… Travelers only use hotels.com to be certain of having confirmed accommodation – if this cannot be guaranteed or delivered, the booking site is useless. So – beware when booking this hotel, you room may not be guaranteed, even if you have a confirmation!!

We were staying at an apartment nearby and went here to try it as we had passed it on our 1st day. The service was very friendly and the menu was varied so there were lots of choices. Tried the Iberian ham that was carved in front of us and there were many wines available to go with the meal. Would go back for a meal and recommend the hotel for the food
