This comment is intended exclusively for Ms. Inés, Front Office Manager: Now that the weekend has passed and I am feeling somewhat better, I would like to express to you that you lack the empathy, elegance, and courtesy that the position you hold deserves. I have stayed there on several occasions and have always been treated with the kindness and courtesy that the hotel's category deserves. And it is true that I did not give notice to cancel within the established period, but: 1. In the first place, one does not choose when one gets sick (I have the doctor's report in which he recommends rest, in case you want it, as I also wrote to you), and although it was only 36 hours before (Wednesday night), I am absolutely sure that with the high demand that exists in Vejer at these times, you would not have had any problem occupying it with another client. And even if that were not the case, I doubt that a hotel of that category cannot "afford" a cancellation for a health reason that prevents it. 2. You also refused to change the reservation dates to others that would have allowed me to enjoy the hotel, even if they were on less "attractive" dates. There was no option, nor was I offered any other alternative. 3. The only positive thing I can take away from this very unpleasant incident is that at least a family member was able to enjoy the accommodation. But that did not depend on you. I have done it on other occasions (booking for a family member or friend). 4. I hope that if you ever find yourself in a situation similar to the one I had, the person who assists you has a more empathetic, understanding, and elegant attitude than the one you had with me.
