Hotel Siglo XVIII

We are a couple with a child of almost 4 years old who have been going for 7 years with Colectivia vouchers. Every year since the child was born, they had not charged us for him; this year, to make the reservation, I mentioned that the three of us were going as always, and they told me that since we are regular customers, they would not charge us for the child. When we confirmed the reservation by email, they told me they were going to charge me 10 euros per day, which I do not think is right. Upon arriving at the hotel, they told us that we had to pay for the child; I did not say anything and paid the 20 euros that corresponded to the two nights. And upon arriving at the room, my surprise was that they did not put an extra bed for the child, nor shower towels, and they also did not put a cup or anything for the child for breakfast (we had to take one from another table). I think it is a very ugly gesture to tell me over the phone that you were not going to charge me for the child, but if you charge me later, at least have the courtesy to leave a towel for the child, I am not even talking about an extra bed, and it is pathetic that a cup and silverware were not set out for the child for breakfast. Because the child's comment was, and is there no breakfast for me??? Also, I would like to mention that the staff had always been friendly to us and the child, and this year they did not even speak to us or say good morning at breakfast. A shame, because after 7 years of going to that hotel, we will not return because of that very ugly gesture. There are many hotels in Santillana, so next year we already know that we will return, but not to this hotel.

Nice old manor house converted into a good hotel, with easy access and well located, at the exit of the historic center of Santillana. It has ample parking and is very quiet.

A hotel with a lot of charm in Santillana del Mar, very quiet, the people are very helpful and friendly, super clean, and a highly recommended buffet breakfast. I will definitely return.
