The most beautiful and best-located hotel in Santander. The views are beautiful. I want to highlight the attention and efficiency of Asunción, who attended to us every day at breakfast. A charming person. Thank you for everything.

These are the things that should improve in that hotel. 1. Have someone to help with the luggage when you arrive after 10 PM because Ana at the front desk is a wonderful person but cannot do everything in that hotel: carry luggage, attend to reservations, look for sheets, and other things.... Madam hotel director, please pay another person to help you; it is an abuse, although Ana never showed herself to be tired or with a bad attitude, on the contrary.... The other thing, Madam director, go to room 201 and breathe in the shower of the restaurant you have, and at night it is worse; also, the cleaning staff should not put clean towels and sheets on the floor before being used; it is horrible for health, and I saw a Colombian doing it in my room.... I also want to give honor to the gentleman from the restaurant who told me at 11 PM that this place is open for you until you finish eating; he was very kind, and everyone at the front desk are excellent people.

What a stunningly good hotel. Imposing architecture and the view across the estuary from the ample terrace is gorgeous. Our room was brilliant too. Comfortable huge bed, Nespresso coffee maker, kettle, tea and milk all provided. Fluffy robes and slippers., and plenty of sockets for charging tech. The bathroom was big with two basins, and the whole environment felt luxurious. We were greeted warmly at reception with everything explained well. Bar staff and restaurant staff were warm, friendly and professional. We were here for two nights and ate in the restaurant on day one. It was fine but the menu rather uninspiring, and probably overpriced for what it was. We discovered next day that there was the option of bar food and that menu looked far more interesting, but we ate elsewhere on that night, so that will be another review. It took us only around 30 minutes to walk into town, 40 back as it’s uphill, but perfectly doable and of course there was the option of getting a taxi. On our next trip to Spain we will certainly stay here again and for longer as Santander is an interesting city and needs more time to explore. We would also book a sea view room! Despite our view on the restaurant this definitely merits the 5 rating as there was nothing we considered needed improving
