ALTAMIRA

Great Hotel, very atmospheric right in the middle of Santilliana, welcoming and very comfortable rooms. No parking on site but close by which you can update on an app. When we went the restaurant was not open for dinner, but a breakfast buffet was served from 8 until 10 with a a very good choice of meats, cheeses, cereals, local pastries and coffee. The hotel has a wonderful medieval feel to it with paintings and tapestries and an absolute must to go and stay. Highly recommend a stay.

We stayed in room 304 (3rd floor without elevator) and the shower tray overflows with water everywhere, puddle the floor (you have to put several towels and drain them). But the worst part is the bed: the headboard is not attached to the wall and the decorative bars are loose, so at least movement sounds the noise of wood in your head. Otherwise attentive staff and nice place for breakfast.
