PARADOR GIL BLAS

We stayed in the Altamira building but went down for three days to have breakfast and dinner at Gil Blas. I would especially like to highlight the service received from Carlos and Fátima in the restaurant service during dinners and in the cafeteria. Despite being overwhelmed, they treated us with great kindness and friendliness at all times. All the dining room and cafeteria staff were also very cordial and professional. Sometimes it is not easy to deal with certain customers...Thank you all very much! Regarding the food, the menu is very complete; the fish, the meats, and the appetizers are all top-notch. As for the breakfasts, more variety and quantity of fresh fruit is missing.

The building is very nice - as it most paradores. The disappointment is the running of the place. The staff are friendly but have not been given the training required to give the guests a four star experience. We later stayed at another parador and the difference was very evident. Here everything worked smoothly. The breakfast at this parador was not as good as in the next we stayed. All in all - stay somewhere else until management have either been changed or given their staff a good chance to give good service.

An unforgettable experience. An exceptional place. I had the great luck of staying in the room with the balcony on the main facade, overlooking the Plaza Mayor. To highlight above all else: 1) how clean everything in the parador is. Total and absolute cleanliness. 2) the exquisite kindness of all the employees, without exception. Insurmountable manners and professionalism. 3) an extraordinary breakfast, total quality and abundant. Price-quality ratio a 10. Thank you for having provided me with three days of disconnection. It is already an indelible memory
