Peniscola Palace

It was another great stay at the Hotel Peñiscola Palace in our beloved Peñiscola, we have been coming here for several years. We were once again warmly welcomed upon arrival by the staff who work there; these hardworking people make your stay very pleasant. Top locations to stay!!! We have been in our beloved Peñiscola for 22 years now.

This hotel has a good location regarding the beach and downtown. The hotel's service and staff are excellent. We stayed for several days on full board. I must say that the hotel food has several drawbacks. Most of the dishes are bland, and not in the sense that they have little salt, but rather that they haven't put even a pinch in them. Another thing I saw, for example, was the rice pudding; it was rice pudding without sugar, it seemed more like porridge than a dessert. You can find unlabeled things, for example a yellow shot, and think it is lemon juice and then it turns out to be melon juice. Finally, the most worrying thing is that you can see a great difference in food quality between breakfast and lunch compared to dinner. The dinners are very good, but for the rest of the meals, there are days when you see a significant drop in food quality. For example, some churros that felt like rubber, pure tire. We liked the Spa, very cozy and with everything necessary. The rooms were comfortable; the bad thing is that the toilet is very high and the shower has a screen without a door, so water leaks out and you end up with the bathroom full of water. Another thing that shocked us is that there was no towel service for the pool. It would be appreciated if there were.

Great family experience, beach a step away, and a wide, quality buffet. Great gesture from the hotel towards us and a 10/10 stay.
