Bad impressions started from the get-go. The address given was km 194 on the autovia, but you actually need to come off at the junction 193. Not amused after a 750k drive to realise I had gone past the hotel and had to do two double-backs to get there. I was given a room right next to the motorway, and asked to be moved which was done easily, but the traffic noise was still very apparent. The restaurant does not open until 8.30pm which seemed like a long time off after a 6pm arrival and a longing for bed, so I headed to the cafe instead. This only served cold food until 8pm. There wasn't even a kettle in the room to make a hot drink. The bed itself was very comfortable, but sleep was still impossible with the choice of a rock-hard bolster or a barely-filled foam pillow. Not the hotels fault, admittedly, but a party of school-children screaming around the grounds at 11pm did nothing for my mood either. This is definitely not a hotel I would return to!

Very dated rooms where nothing much works properly - heating thermostat was wired in reverse so it just kept getting hotter or colder. Minimal breakfast buffet and cold tea/coffee. Constant road noise. Food in the cafeteria wasn't too bad. Poor value for money
