Veracruz Plaza Hotel and Spa

Nice hotel, used for overnight stopover, good facilities, close to the center, neat   First impression was very good. But slept poorly because of a very present engine noise that was constantly present. You only heard that when the air conditioning turned off, and that was necessary because there was no duvet on the bed and it was getting too cold with the air conditioning on. It was already the middle of the night then and too tired to possibly change rooms   When we reported it to the reception, we only got a short 'sorry' response. But no compensation or anything like that.   That was very disappointing and we were tired to continue the day

After all the day driving I stopped overnight and the room with two beds, I asked for change to double bed and by company policy they wanted to charge me 20€ more having already paid more than I marked on their website... it had never happened to me since it was Tuesday 23:30 and there were rooms available!

Absolutely soulless hotel, doesn’t at all reflect the delightful people from Valdepenas. In this hotel the front desk staff were lazy, where they hide in a back room and would appear only when the phone rings. We raised that our package included a bottle of olive oil, the staff all shook their heads indicating that they knew nothing about this. Honestly I suspect they pocket this as on the housekeepers trolley we spotted the bottles. Stay some where else!
