Hotel Mariano

The hotel is well located: 10-15 min by walk from the old city center. Our room was ok for one night. It's small but confortable bed. Cheap as well. Professional receptionist as well. Perfect for one or two nights if you are travelling on a budget.

The weak link in our holiday travel. The hotel is in need of a makeover, bedroom furniture sparse & in need of replacement. Reception staff surly when we arrived and seemed to speak only Spanish. In the morning when we left there seemed to be a family gathering complete with baby behind the counter with little or no attention being paid to departing guests.

5 stars purely because the receptionist (also owner I think) was such a nice guy. Ask for Jose. The hotel itself is ok, nothing fancy but clean. Very good value for money. Short walk away from the the Mesquita. All day and free parking is available in their underground car park. Take my advice, if plan to hire/rent a car in Spain do not park on the road. The Spanish are reckless/careless drivers who will most probably scratch up your car. You have been warned!
