Insotel Club Maryland

I will start positive.. cleanliness, staff, food and location all very good. However .. I this place is best for and used by young local families. We spent a week here.. hardly any entertainment suitable for non Spanish speaking people. Only entertainment we actually saw was a quiz.. spanish songs , films etc. They do have a young energetic entertainers..but they never spoke to us once. Drinks were great as long as you didnt choose a cocktail. Only 4 available.. they were dispensed from a machine into a plastic beaker. Not good at all. The bungalows are really two story appartements. Warning.. if you have any mobility problems.. stay away.. the appartments are set in a pinewood on a hill... the main path leading down to the pools, resturant, beach (which is rocky) small sandy area, is a long, winding path. Which is ok on the way downhill but will cause anyone with mobility or heart/lung problems or maybe just older people. My husband has a heart condition and the path was a big problem. There was also a couple there, in their 90's. The man had COPD.. Really struggling. I felt so sorry for them. I think TUI could warn people more about this. They are aware of peoples ages when holidays are booked. They do not have a TUI rep there. Also the resort is out of the way, not close to a town. So you would need a car or be prepared to take the bus, taxi or hire a car to visit a town. Busses only take cash but you can use a card in taxis. Also.. apart from a few static parasols by the pool..there are lots of sunbeds but no parasols.. absolutely no beds or parasols on the beach. So you need to do without or buy one.

This was our second visit to Formentera – and we know exactly why we came back. ❤️ It is a beautiful place that captured our hearts the first time, and somehow we fell in love with it even more this time. We spent a wonderful family holiday at Insotel Club Maryland, one that we will remember for a long time. The hotel has beautiful surroundings, a lovely atmosphere and, most importantly, amazing people. We truly enjoyed our entire stay and left feeling sad that our holiday was over, but at the same time extremely happy and satisfied with our experience. A very special thank you goes to the animation team, especially Claudio and Martina. ❤️ They were absolutely wonderful with the children – kind, cheerful, patient and always making sure the kids were having the best possible time. You can really see that they put their hearts into what they do, and it is people like them who turn a lovely holiday into something truly special. Thank you, Claudio and Martina, for your care, your time, your smiles and all the wonderful moments you gave our children. And of course, a big thank you to the entire team at Insotel Club Maryland for such a wonderful holiday. Formentera has a special place in our hearts, and we already know that we will want to come back again. ❤️

The best part was the staff, with the exception of the pool bar a little bit, but I understand they get overwhelmed; the food was excellent, I personally informed a worker and the head chef that the entire buffet was spectacular, everything was very well cooked, you can tell they do things well, with care, everything was delicious .... the rooms, although old, have their charm; leaving vintage items and painting some furniture would even look super nice. The entire apartment was spotless, you don't miss the air conditioning, the fans are sufficient, the cleaning ladies were very kind, the reception staff as well; if I have to find a fault, it would be a little train to be able to take guests to and from the dining room, at least until before going down the ramp, although sometimes the walk is appreciated, it is very pleasant, and the issue of people with little beach etiquette who leave their towels for hours so that no one takes their lounge chairs, well, removing them and sitting down solves it... for me an 11, I will definitely return, everything was wonderful!!!
