Barcelo Puerto Castillo

A good choice for a sunny holiday- We wouldn't choose half-board next time; it was a poor experience. The service staff seemed tired of tourists, and the service was slow. However, there were great options for beach trips, fitness, and wellness, as well as good restaurants nearby. We would probably choose the Royal Level next time; the pool area there seemed much quieter. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Just back from 9 nights, 5 of us ranging in age from 2-73 stayed in a 2 bed premium apartment. It was our second time to stay at the resort. Great location with fab views. lovely breakfast buffet with offerings for every palate. Had a noise in the room to do with the aircon unit-took 3 complaints to sort but the last guest rep & maintenance guy were very efficient and thorough. Staff were very nice, particularly the lady who served us beverages the first morning at breakfast and remember our order every morning subsequently! Its the little things! Had read some reviews that the place is getting a little tired and would agree, it didnt take away from our overall experience but a quick lick of paint in some spots would go along way. Also, personal preference but a sweeping brush & some washing up liquid/tea towels would be a massive bonus in the rooms. We had a great time and plan to stay again next year.

Just spent 2 weeks here lovely place but looking tired in places, staff were excellent all round, pool areas great and very clean ,food great but sometimes repetitive ,beds were great ,room cleaning not so good and no consistency ,overall a lovely place to stay ,would go back tomorrow.
