Punta Marina

Our 8 and last visit to Punta Marina. On arrival, the room was dirty, dusty, dishes glued, mold in the bathroom, ants in the living room, no umbrella neither terrace nor pool, patio door not lockable and rattled with every gust of wind. The door lock was made workable the following day, the apartment was cleaned the following Monday and the mouldy shower curtain was replaced. Over the week the ants spread to the kitchen (and no we don't consume sugar) only fruit was in the fridge. Finally, we went to the reception and asked (again) for a room exchange, the gentleman at the reception gave us a lecture first that he has been successfully managing the 3 Livvo facilities for years now and is not being talked into his actions. That with the ants is not a problem, you could easily get to grips with appropriate poison, when my wife replied that I am a high-grade allergy sufferer the gentleman counters that he is too, in addition he would have problem with the knees and should exercise, therefore now has a training device in his bedroom .... concluding with the information only a poco poison... when we are not in the room. Now the "Poco" was enough, a few hours later I went to the doctor for shortness of breath, I informed the reception accordingly please no longer use poison. Over the days we were joined by cramps, dizziness, headaches, sinusitis, ... finally we ended our holiday prematurely. Finally, let me mention the parasol there were "already after 6 days", the for the terrace by the pool there were no parasols. Generally speaking, the facility is old, nothing is repaired - one is booked - . Maybe we were spoiled, or on the eighth visit you hope for the familiar. Certainly there can always be problems, it just depends on how to deal with what the "explanations" of the gentleman at the reception, one has known Morro Jable for 58 years, in the other plant where the outdoor plant is being made you would have a great coffee machine, .... Experience is a great thing, as long as you respect doing something wrong and just because you do something tens of years like this it doesn't automatically become right ... and the use of poison should be left to appropriate professionals and certainly not done in rented premises.

Very well equipped and carefully looked after apartments. They are split level apartments and all have a balcony or terrace overlooking to pool and or having a sea view. The pool is lovely - we had it to ourselves most of the time. The rooms are serviced most days with towels and sheets changed once during the week. It is very quiet, no bar or entertainment- just apartments with a pool! Perfect for a relaxing time! Steps up from the beach on the left as you leave the premises (a much shorter walk than the map shows!) or turn left at the top of the road, then use the lift at the Spar to drop down to the other end of the beach where the restaurants are.

Terrible accommodation: upon arrival we were only fortunately able to enter our room (thanks to two guest girls who had an employee's private number), no one answered the phone, arriving at night in an unknown place and not finding anyone is not for nothing pleasant and a source of stress. You can't use the wifi which, I am continually told, is under repair, but it never worked until the end of my stay. Non-existent maintenance: -the swimming pool is not usable due to dirty and broken deckchairs and broken umbrellas -the apartment terrace is dilapidated with a broken umbrella here too -dusty stairs and corridors with dead cockroaches and never cleaned paper and leaves - outside lights with burnt out bulbs, therefore dangerous stairs -waste bins never emptied -walls falling apart The cleanliness of the apartment is barely adequate, the furniture has broken moldings and the towels have holes.
