Cleopatra Spa Hotel

1st solo trip female late 50s. Transfer drop off 3am busy night club street. A 4min walk through back streets (Google maps❤️) A very warm welcome from a male grey haired night manager. Easy fast check in , passport scanned, £8.55 hotel tax. Stayed half board so meal times explained and key card given . My room 1414 was on the 4th floor, double bed (I slept well), unexpected fridge, wardrobe with hanging, no draws, safe , plug sockets at each side of bed. I found 4 English channels on the tv. Extra pillows in the wardrobe. The balcony had 2 chairs no table or drying rack. Advised not to close the balcony door while outside or will get locked out. View overlooking a great supermarket. The bathroom had a shower, bath , loo & bidet. Plenty of counter space & towels. I enjoyed the bath as I don't have one at home. The shower was powerful but there was no screen so the floor was drenched. Everything was clean , bed made and clean towels every day. Breakfast was ok, choice of cooked or cold. Plenty of fruit. I liked the coffee and took a cup out to enjoy by the pool. There were plenty of sunbeds but they were very close together. The pool was cold but soon warmed up once in. I enjoyed cocktails from the bar but also drank my own bottled water. The location is great and the bus station is a short walk and I visited Tossa & Blanes £4.78 return. The staff were friendly and as a solo traveller I felt safe. The evening meal didn't excite me. I'm not fussy but apart from salad , chips and vegetables I didn't know what I was eating. Nothing was labelled. I ate out a couple of times and got snacks and drinks from the supermarket. Checkout at 11am & I was on a late flight home so was able to store my luggage securely until my transfer so I could enjoy my last day. Transfer pick up was a 10min walk to Lloret theatre carpark A quirky Egyptian themed hotel, yes I would stay again. You get what you pay for and I'd probably only have breakfast next time. Good base for exploring

My mum and I stayed here for a week. It's a very quiet hotel with no real atmosphere. We was room only and although the room was basic it was ok. We asked for a table for the balcony and they gave it us. The room wasn't that clean though . Alot of dust in the bathroom and had to leave the light on after the 2nd night due to silverfish insects coming up the drain in the bathroom. The light being on stopped this happening. Also a lot of limescale on the shower and taps. One day the cleaner didn't leave us any toilet roll so we bought some. Another day she took our towels even though we didn't leave them in the bath to change. So we had to ask for some. I don't think she mopped the floor either as was very dirty. The pool though and the jacuzzi were nice and the drinks cheap. The supermarket opposite was great. We tried the food one night. Paid 16 euros and wasn't nice. My mum got some potatoes and they was raw. So glad we ate out. Some lovely restaurants in lloret . The staff wasn't very friendly apart from Beat and Freddie. Not the best but certainly not the worst

Horrible hotel. The staff looked down on the guests. The room was basic, not satellite TV films. The bathroom was disgusting. Turned the jacuzzi bath on and foul black water came out which stank. Thought I would just put up with the smell, but the next day went to have a shower and was standing in an inch of bacterial slime. The food was good but did get upset stomach after 2 days.
