Holiday Inn Express Girona

Stopped as near motorway so could get get a good night sleep but unfortunately not! Could hear people walking and banging about next door the walls seem paper thin. People shouting outside and youngsters congregating in street, triple glazing desperately needed. Unsavoury people hanging about outside smoking pot and cigarettes , out of hotels hands I know. Had to park right down the bottom of street which was not lit up and long walk to carry things. Toilet seat broken which cleaner must have known about and bathroom door didn’t lock. £20 a night each dog which I was horrified about as previous night in

Our stay has been unbeatable.From the always friendly attention of the receptionists, coffee and tea available in the bar 24 hours, a really very complete buffet breakfast.Very comfortable room with an excellent bathroom.Opposite the hotel there is a shopping center where we find all the businesses we needed as well as restaurants.And 100 meters the bus that took us to the center of Girona in 20'.Free Parking

Very welcoming and helpful staff, especially the lady who looks after the buffet breakfast. super breakfast and items replenished promptly when they run out. 24 hour coffee and tea service very welcome. Hotel is well located next to a shopping centre and plenty of restaurants nearby as it does not do dinners. Rooms beautifully prepared and serviced. Parking can be a bit tight but usually plenty of space in the park lot just before the Hotel front. Beds very comfortable. We stayed for 8 days attending several sporting events and would without doubt go again.
