I loved staying in rosa clara apartamentos, it was clean, cosy and comfortable. It is very near to the beach and also near to the centre.. Our hostes was very very nice and thoughtful woman :)) You will enjoy this place!

We booked Apartaments Rosa Clara because it was advertised as a pet-friendly place. We also wanted the balcony with sea view, parking, non-smoking, A/C and WiFi. When we arrived the hostess told us that we could not get the apartment we had booked until one o’clock the next day because we had made the reservation only three days before our arrival! Then she spotted our dogs and told us that she never allowed dogs in the summer. Now she had pets allowed in her ad at booking.com and I had also written it when I made the reservation but she had not read it. We were relocated to another apartment, very basic, no A/C, no balcony, no nothing and furthermore we were told to hide our dogs because they were not allowed! The promised parking lot was a ten minute walk away and she was kind enough to show my husband to it but abandoned him there to find his way back on his own. It was not the way we wanted to start our vacation. Next morning we had to be out of the apartment at 10. We left it gladly because the other guests were happy partying youngsters who didn’t think that there actually were people who wanted to sleep at night. Now we could begin to enjoy our holidays, we thought. But, but, but… When we came to our booked apartment we were told by the hostess that we could not leave our dogs in the apartment. Of course we wouldn’t leave them but as it later turned out we misunderstood her when we thought that she meant that we could not leave them for several hours which we never would do anyway, so we thought nothing more of it. The apartment itself was a huge disappointment. Non-smoking it said in the ad. Ashtrays on the bedside tables told us otherwise. The promised sea-view was from the roof terrace. All we could see from our balcony was the white wall of the house opposite from us. Everything was run down in the apartment from broken seats of chairs to broken covers of the sofas and bed linen with tiny holes in them. The tiles on the floor were loose, the bathtub was repainted with paint coming off, the wardrobes in such condition that we preferred to not put our clothes in them. And the hard beds gave us a wake-up ride every time we moved. A quick look under the bed revealed the cause of the wobbliness, and that the dust that had been accumulated there not had been touched for a long time. We could live with the low standard of the apartment and enjoy our stay but it was not to be. When we came back from dinner there was a letter waiting for us. We had broken the house rule it said. We had left the dogs alone and now we were going to be thrown out at 11 next morning! After a sleepless night, the second now, we contacted booking.com who at first understood us perfectly and promised to find us another lodgings but then said that we had to accept the local rules of our hostess. She threatened us with the police if the dogs barked in the apartment! What about crying babies? Anyway, we finally could stay but our holidays were partly ruined. We could not go to the beach all of us together, we had to bring the dogs everywhere we went. We had to take them with us when we had dinner and everyone who is a dog owner know that it is not ideal. From now on we always will check that pets allowed really means what we, as pet owners, think it means, that we can have our dogs with us and live with them as at home.
