Apartamentos Ancora

Booked to go here via Homeawy / Belita. They advertised a 100% refund policy on Homeaway but as i have had to cancel the refund is now refused by Belita as they say their cancellation policy overrules the one on Homeaway. I tried to contact Ancora as on trip advisor it says temporarily closed but had no reply after 3 emails so assumed the worst and cancelled as didnt want to drive 1200 miles to find i had nowhere to stay along with UK travel advice and having to isolate for 14 days on return made no sense. I think its a scam between Belita and Ancora aprtments to keep the 900 euro i paid by winding down the clock to get inside their 14 day cancellation policy which is 21st August. You have been warned dont book Ancora apartments if its through Homeaway and Belita (my sister booked via booking.com and has had a full refund)

So dragged the teenagers to llafranc- we had been here many years ago inspired by the author Tom Sharpe (wrote wilt etc) and lived here until his death - beautiful bay and scenery. The apartment is v basic - could do with a make over- everything a bit tired, mishmash of crockery, no wine glasses, chipped plates etc. Loose floor tiles etc but ignore that and the location is good 120 steps to the beach -the exercise will help my badminton playing when I return home! Not for the faint hearted - but lots of lovely restaurants and towns nearby!
