So. As you may see I don't do too many reviews. However, this place deserves one. We have stayed here more than 10 times over the years as we travel regularly between France and Portugal with our dogs. So being dog friendly is a must. Over recent years the stay has been entirely due to location and being 'dog friendly'. In fact, we have endured a poor experience because of it. This time we have had a totally new experience because the hotel is under new management. They now have adequate staffing levels and quality management. This evening we have been treated to a lovely experience. The staff have been very attentive and polite. Our dog was given an astonishingly fabulous welcome. The booking of the restaurant was bang on. The atmosphere overall was very good. The food and wine was substantially over what one might expect for the price. Overall the manager Pedro was responsible for a very very much-improved experience for this hotel and shoud be congratulated. We will absolutely return next time and recommend it highly to those needing to stay near to the airport in Girona for any reason. It is close to the highway, yet quiet.

Very disappointing and especially dangerous stay. Nice hotel on the first approach but be careful! On the hotel grounds, my dog cut her leg badly on a piece of ceramic buried in the ground, which is unacceptable in terms of security. This type of debris is not the only one because their land is littered with very dangerous waste (glass bottles, waste, scrap metal, sewage trap filled with excrement and very deep open next to the pool, open electric meter accessible to children, garbage room overflowing with bags erupted under the Catalan sun and devoured by the rats that saw it feast..) Result: emergency veterinary operation, hospitalization on site, 3 months of care, lifelong disability and significant costs. The most shocking thing is that the hotel initially acknowledged the facts in the face of the evidence, before retracting and refusing any care once we returned to France, without taking on the security problem present on its grounds. ⚠️ Future guests, be extremely vigilant: the condition of the ground is a real danger, especially if you are traveling with animals or children. Very clean room, perfect welcome, in English and French. Meals at the delicious restaurant. The air conditioning did not work but the hotel offered another room regardless. Even if I did not respond positively to the proposal just for one night. I thank the team for the proposal.
