check-in chaos - no fresh free water on the 2nd day, wellness: one pool, quite worn-out furniture

The rooms are very pleasant and well renovated, the catering is perfect in a very beautiful dining room, the terrace overlooking the golf course is very pleasant.

First and last stay at the Xalet del Golf in Bolvir. Hotel located at the extraordinary Cerdanya Golf Club. Incomparable setting. But that is where it ends. We booked a double room in the Annex because there was no more availability. A huge mistake. 180 Euros for the room, non-refundable and without breakfast. A total rip-off. The room they gave us was a cubicle where you had to walk sideways to avoid tripping. When we entered, the air conditioning was on full blast and set to 17º, a real igloo. And to top it off, a nauseating smell like a sewer throughout the room, we had to leave the room immediately, turning off the air and trying to let it warm up a bit. Upon returning, the same feeling of cold and bad smell. I pick up the phone to call the front desk and ask for some blankets, and obviously, it didn't work. I call from my cell phone. We tried to turn on the TV and it didn't work...... The two outlets were completely broken and separated from the wall...... When an employee comes with the blankets, he observes the outlets and makes a makeshift fix that allows the TV to turn on. Oh, and as usually happens in Catalan hotels near the border, all the channels are ordered for the French (TF1, TF2, etc...). To find TV3 you have to go through all of those..... Despite all this, we were able to sleep enough, mind you, covered up to the top. And regarding the breakfast (paid), quite correct, with 1 hot dish to choose from, good cold cuts and pastries but with the usual big mistake, dreadful orange juice (it tasted medicinal). In conclusion, 180 Euros for a tiny room, with a bad smell, poorly ventilated, without outlets and without a phone, in a supposed 4-star hotel, is a scam.
