We stayed 2 weeks at the Abora Catarina in Gran Canaria, with 3 people (2 adults and 1 child aged 13) and, unfortunately, we left this stay extremely disappointed. We have already traveled several times with Ôvoyages, at least 4 times, and we had always trusted them. But after a previous stay that was already very disappointing, this new experience unfortunately confirms our impression: two consecutive stays with the same problems, that is starting to be a lot. We paid nearly €6,000 for two weeks for 3 people, and the service was very far from what we were entitled to expect given the price and what was advertised. A hotel that does not correspond to what is advertised The hotel was presented as renovated. However, we were very surprised by the general condition of certain parts of the establishment. In the hallways: carpet very stained and marked, numerous marks on the walls, baseboards removed because they were very damaged and a smell of mold in places. In our room as well, several elements were very degraded and some finishes frankly borderline. The window in particular did not seem to be properly attached to the wall. We will attach several photos to this review so that everyone can form their own opinion on the actual state of the establishment. A pool that is much too small and dilapidated We had booked and paid for a pool view, but we ultimately had a view of the road, with a large building right in front. As for the pool, it was very damaged and, above all, totally undersized in relation to the number of rooms and vacationers. There were so many people that it was almost impossible to swim properly. It was also very often impossible to find an available lounge chair, which made it even more difficult to enjoy the pool area peacefully. The aquatic area really did not correspond to the image we had when booking. Almost non-existent Ôvoyages entertainment This is certainly one of the points that disappointed us the most. There was only one Ôvoyages activity leader for about 50 vacationers. On the day of our arrival, he was off duty: we therefore had no welcome, no presentation, and no tour of the hotel. Upon our arrival at the airport, no one was present to welcome us on behalf of Ôvoyages either, and the activity leader arrived late. During the two weeks, almost no entertainment was offered: no pétanque, no daytime activities, no organized outings or walks. We even suggested that he organize walks among vacationers, but nothing was set up. The activity leader was friendly, but his involvement was essentially limited to the evening club aperitif. For the rest, he was very often in his room. And above all, no kids' club, even though it was advertised. We were traveling with our 13-year-old son and were therefore really counting on the advertised services. Very average dining The food was very repetitive and rather mediocre. Here again, considering the price paid for this stay, we clearly expected better. A situation that is repeating itself with Ôvoyages What particularly disappoints us is that we had already encountered almost the same situation during our previous stay with Ôvoyages: only one entertainer, very few activities, and very limited support. However, we have traveled several times with Ôvoyages and we had placed our trust in them. But after two consecutive stays that were this disappointing, we are very disappointed today and our trust is seriously being called into question. Nearly €6,000 for two weeks, for 3 people: we clearly expected a service of a completely different level. We are adding several photos to this review to concretely illustrate the state of the hotel, the pool, the common areas, and our room. We hope that this review will allow future vacationers to book with full knowledge of the facts and that it will be taken into account by Ôvoyages and by the establishment.

We went as a family with 2 girls aged 4 and 6. The hotel itself is nice, the main area decor is warm and welcoming. A bit bland on the corridors and in the rooms. The big positive from the hotel is the animations team, evey one of them is incredible and brings something slightly different to the team, they 100% made the girls holidays and the shows they also put on in the evenings were brilliant. Very impressive how many languages were spoken fluently and the passion that was brought was second to none. So a big thanks to the whole team from me. The food was ok. Enough to happily eat there each day but could be better. Overall fully enjoyed the stay and would happily go back with the girls

After staying for a week, I can say that it is the worst hotel I have ever been to in my life. I do not recommend anyone stay here. We had cockroaches in the room, on the terrace, and coming out of the shower, as well as in the common areas of the hotel, everywhere. After complaining to the public relations person named Abraham, he did not give us any solution, telling us that it is normal because it is hot and our terrace had a garden. A disgrace, this hotel is not recommended at all. Also, dampness in all the hallways and carpets; it is disgusting and unsanitary.
